The service
Dishfolk provides software for publishing menus, collecting structured orders, and organizing preparation and pickup. It is not a marketplace, payment processor, delivery provider, food producer, or legal adviser.
Seller responsibilities
Sellers are solely responsible for their products, prices, availability, food safety, allergens, licensing, taxes, customer communications, refunds, and compliance with applicable laws. Sellers must keep menu and pickup information accurate.
Customer orders
An order is placed with the seller, not Dishfolk. Seller policies shown at checkout govern payment, changes, cancellation, and pickup. A submitted order may still require seller confirmation when stated.
Acceptable use
Users must not abuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, collect unnecessary personal information, upload unlawful material, or use the service to sell prohibited goods.
Trial and seller subscriptions
A newly created store receives one 30-day Pro trial without a payment card. The trial does not automatically become a paid subscription. A seller is charged only after explicitly choosing a monthly or annual Dishfolk Pro plan and completing Stripe Checkout. Taxes may apply.
A paid subscription renews automatically for the selected interval until it is cancelled. Unless the checkout or billing page says otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. A seller can use the billing page to manage or reactivate a subscription. Payment failure may place Pro features in a limited grace period before the store moves to the Free plan.
Free plan and order limits
When a trial or paid period ends, the store moves to the Free plan. Data is not deleted. Historical orders, fulfillment, private order-status pages, required exports, privacy controls, and account deletion remain available. A plan limit can stop new order intake or new paid-only actions, but it does not prevent completion of existing orders. A cancelled order still counts toward the monthly order allowance because it was successfully submitted for operational handling.
Seller subscriptions are not customer payments
Stripe processes subscription fees paid by sellers for Dishfolk Pro. Dishfolk does not collect or process the price of food orders. Food payments, refunds, charge disputes, and taxes on food sales remain between the seller and customer using the seller's stated instructions.
Service availability
Dishfolk grew from a pilot and may change or experience interruptions. We will make reasonable efforts to preserve data and give notice of material changes, but the service is provided without a guaranteed service level.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Dishfolk is not responsible for food quality, illness, missed pickup, seller-customer disputes, indirect losses, or transactions arranged outside the service.
Operator and contact
These terms are provided by Dishfolk. Questions about the service can be sent to support@dishfolk.ca.
